IIHM Wine Education Tour The IIHM Wine Educational Tours offer students an all-expenses-paid journey to premier wine regions in France, Italy, and the UK. These tours provide hands-on learning experiences, covering the entire winemaking process from grape harvesting to bottling. Students interact with master winemakers, explore vineyards, and witness the meticulous processes in renowned wineries. The tours also offer rich cultural and culinary experiences, enhancing understanding of wine as part of heritage and lifestyle. The IIHM Culinary Education Tour is an enriching educational journey for selected students, offering them a deep dive into the culinary traditions of a prominent food nation. Students explore the origins of local cuisine, visit renowned food markets, and engage with master chefs. These immersive experiences provide invaluable insights into how culture shapes food habits and culinary practices. By connecting with the roots of gastronomy, students gain a comprehensive understanding of the intricate relationship between food, culture, and heritage. IIHM has organized Culinary Tours in UK, France and India.
Erasmus - Conscious Caterers and Sustainable Solutions (C2S2 Initiative by European Union) IIHM is the sole institute representing India in the prestigious ERASMUS project, which aims to foster international collaboration in education and training between 4 countries - India, France, Switzerland and Türkiye.. As part of this initiative, IIHM sends 1 selected student annually for student exchange to one of the partner countries to research on a given topic for sustainable food practices.. This collaboration highlights IIHM's commitment to sustainability and positions it as a leader in driving positive change on a global scale.
The IIHM Scot Malt Education Tour takes students on an all-expenses-paid journey to Scotland, where they delve into the intricate process of whisky making. In 2024, the tour successfully included visits to renowned distilleries like Glenlivet, Strathisla, and Blair Athol. Students experienced the entire whisky-making process, from mashing and fermentation to aging in traditional casks. They also participated in whisky tastings and learned about cask crafting at Speyside Cooperage. This immersive experience enriched their understanding of whisky production and added tremendous value to their hospitality education.
